Record a new action in Adobe Photoshop



Recording a new action is an interesting feature of adobe photoshop. We can record action to apply it for another project. By recording action we can apply our long time work with just a click. I have discussed about recording a new action and how to apply it for another project in this post.


Step 1: Go to Window>Actions or press Alt+F9 to activate action palette.
Step 2: Now click on the icon shown in the picture below.




You will get option like below. Choose New Action




Step 3: You will get a pop up window like below




Write a new name and set other options. Then click Record. 

Step 4: After click on Record whatever you do in photoshop it will be recorded and you can apply it for another projects.

Step 5: To stop recording go to action palette click on the icon shown below




You will get option like below



                     Choose Stop Recording to stop recording.

Step 6: To apply this action for another project go to action palette. Choose Default action. Then select new recorded action to apply.
